Commercial fusion requires more than a reactor. Discover how compact fusion systems, early-stage testing and a growing industrial ecosystem are helping build the capabilities needed to make fusion a reality.

Astral Systems is breaking the fusion bottleneck by offering commercially accessible DT fusion testing platforms. Following successful work with UKAEA, Astral is delivering the infrastructure needed to accelerate technology across the fusion, industrial, and healthcare sectors.

July has been a significant month for Astral Systems as we continue to advance the development and deployment of compact fusion technology. From industry recognition at The SPARKies 2026 to continued engagement with global research communities, Astral is building the technology, partnerships and capabilities required to unlock the potential of fusion-enabled solutions across healthcare, industry, and energy.‍

Developing a device hand-made in his Bristol living room, Tom Wallace-Smith is creating the first fusion-produced isotopes that can be used on patients.
